Hi Cinsarah fans!

I am so glad that Cindy asked me to guest post for you all today! I am Latoya and I blog over at The Scott’s Crib for those of you who don’t know me. I love blogging about thrifting, diy projects, my family, and natural living. After perusing my blog you will quickly find out that I love to do projects that are quick and easy and with very little cost as possible.

Today I am going to share with you a project that I whipped up on a whim for very little money. I had a letter “s” sitting around the house and I knew that I wanted to use it but I wasn’t quite sure how I would incorporate it into my crib.

After a quick study of the things I had on hand at the house I decided that I would use book pages and a little craft paint that I had sitting around.

I found these books from the thrift store a while back for .50 cents each. Since they were purely for decorative purposes I decided to use a few pages from one of them and decorate my letter “s”.

First I painted my letter with some gold craft paint I found laying around just in case anything showed through the book paper.

Once that was dry I simply cut the pages up into circles.

I didn’t like the way that the circles themselves looked on the letter so I pinched the circles to create this look…

I simply glued everything on and waited for it to dry.

This is my finished product waiting for me to find it a new home!

This project only cost me $1.99 for the letter. Everything else I already had on hand. Good and cheap just the way I like it!
