Why I'm a Breeze Believer + A Giveaway

There's so many baby things that Levi has that I wish I had back when Josh was born. For example this 4moms Breeze Playard. It's simply the BEST! It's made my life WAY easier. I remember getting a pack and play when I was pregnant with Joshua and how hard it was to get it all set up and ready for his arrival. It was almost like assembling Ikea furniture, not even kidding. Not only that but getting it all packed to move to another room or to take on a trip was a real chore.

Well let me tell you that the 4moms Breeze has changed my negative thoughts about pack and plays and playards! This thing is the BOMB! (do people still say that?.. I do!) It's the lightest, MOST easiest to set up and pack playard I've ever seen and owned and I've owned quite a few. We use it EVERY SINGLE day. It's my lifesaver! I have yet to buy a gate to keep Levi in one room and out of trouble when I'm working and cleaning so I am very thankful for our Breeze. I just put him in his Breeze with a couple toys and he's perfectly safe and content. When it's time to cook dinner I put his favorite Curious George movie on and he will stay there while mama gets dinner ready.
I most definitely am a Breeze Believer! You could be one too! I've partnered up with 4moms on their Breeze blog tour this month to give one away to one of my lucky readers. Not only that but 4moms is giving away one daily on their Facebook Page so make sure you follow them there for even more chances to win and own the very best playard. If you haven't already GO check out their website to see the Breeze in action. It really is THAT EASY! Now on for the fun stuff... enter below! Good Luck!

DIY Sharpie Wallpaper - Mini Closet Makeover

This shop is part of a social shopper marketing insight campaign with Pollinate Media Group® and Sharpie, but all my opinions are my own. #pmedia  #PaintYourWay http://my-disclosur.es/OBsstV
Last week I spent the entire week working on this project. I have been wanting to makeover our closet for quite some time especially now that we are remodeling our bathroom. Our closet is in our bathroom so of course it needed a makeover as well. Our budget for this mini makeover was not very big especially since the bathroom remodel is turning out to be quite expensive and it's been draining our savings but I knew I wanted to do something different. Thankfully all it took was some paint and a Sharpie...
I went to Michael's a couple weeks ago and picked up Sharpie paint pens. I've been wanting to wallpaper something with a Sharpie ever since I saw Mandi from Vintage Revival's Sharpie wallpaper masterpiece. I wanted to try to do something a little different so I kept trying to figure out a pattern to do when on a recent trip to Target I spotted this beauty...

It was perfect! I got home and practiced the pattern on a piece of paper. I initially thought about making a stencil out of cardboard but then thought it would be easier to just do it by hand. Sure it wouldn't be perfect but I kinda like the un-perfect look.
Our closet was a beige color so I painted it white so that it could brighten the small dark room and so that the sharpie pattern could stand out. I am VERY pleased with the utcome. Halfway through the project I was not liking it and thought about doing something else but once everything came together I fell in love.
It was a bit hard drawing on textured walls which is another reason I'm glad I free-handed it. I would have been stressed out trying to stencil the walls, making sure everything was perfectly aligned. This way I didn't stress, I just drew. It was actually pretty therapeutic. Like doodling on a LARGE piece of paper.
We switched out the old bulb light and my husband installed a mason jar pendant to match the ones in our bathroom. I will post a detailed tutorial on the blog soon.
I hope my post motivates you to go pull out your Sharpies and get doodling on your walls or at least to organize your closet :) If you don't like the outcome then you can just paint over it! I actually painted over two of the patterns because they were pretty bad and I re-did them the next day. Just make sure to use the water based paint markers so that you can easily paint over your design if you need to. It doesn't have to be perfect! There's beauty in imperfection ;)

Bathroom Updates - Sneak Peeks

Sorry I've been MIA lately. It's been crazy these past couple of weeks. We finally got our tile installed last week and it looks amazing! I found the ampersand at Marshalls last week as well and thought it would be perfect for our bathroom. Our next step is the glass for the shower. We were supposed to have someone come and measure this week but they never came which is frustrating! I originally wanted glass orbs for the pendant lights but then I saw some mason jar pendants on Pinterest and then Hobby Lobby had them for 50% off so I got home and my wonderful husband installed them up for me.
Aren't they neat? We still have tons to do still in our bathroom to finish it completely but I just can't help to walk in there and see how nice it's turning out. I will be posting updates as we go.

Here is a list of things we still need....
-glass for shower
-faucets installed
-finish sheetrock
-install small vanity
-new counter + sinks
-paint cabinets
-cabinet hardware

So I'm thinking things won't be completely finished until sometime in July. I REALLY thought it would be done by the end of the month but things have been crazy and we still have tons to do. I did however complete a mini makeover on our closet though. I will be sharing pics on the blog on Monday!

Staying Cool This Summer with Klondike Kandy Bars

This shop is part of a social shopper marketing insight campaign with Weave Made Media® and Klondike, but all my opinions are my own. #weavemade #KandyBar  http://my-disclosur.es/RgFrEH
Summer is finally here and we can sure feel it here in Texas. It's been 90°+ here lately which is actually not bad. I am not looking forward to that 100°+ weather to come that's for sure! If you follow me on Instagram then you've probably seen us hitting our local splash pads this past week. It's the best way to cool off and still enjoy the great outdoors.

The day before Joshua's last day of school I picked up Klondike's NEW Kandy Bars in Cookies and Cream to celebrate his last day. Well let me tell you they didn't even make it to the next day. I put the kids to bed that night and I couldn't stop thinking about these Kandy Bars in my freezer and well let's just say I had to buy more the next day to replace the ones my husband and I ate. Oops!
I didn't mind buying another box at all! The kids were obviously excited to try Klondike Kandy Bars! We love cookies and cream so these Kandy Bars are perfect because I don't have to scoop any ice cream out of a tub and the kids don't fight about who has more ice cream. There are four bars per box and they each come individually wrapped so everyone wins!

Sarah is my little sugar bug, she's got the biggest sweet tooth in the family but I really try to limit her sugar intake because it REALLY makes her crazy! Like she's running around the house laughing for no reason crazy but it's nice to let them eat sweets once in a while...
After a day of playing outside with the neighbors the kids came in and I had this yummy treat ready to cool them off. Yep I totally won the "Cool Mom" award that day!
Summer + Ice Cream = Perfect Match! You can find Klondike Kandy Bars at Walmart, Target and Safeway stores as well as most other retailers. We got ours at Target. They only had the cookies and cream flavor but I will be sure to check for more flavors on our next Target trip which should be soon ;)

Make sure to follow Klondike on Vine + Youtube to stay up to date with their products and check out some funny vids like this one.

How do you and your kiddos stay cool this summer?
Have you tried Klondike's New Kandy Bars Yet? If not what flavor would you try?

More Bathroom Updates

Hello, I can't believe it's June already! We started our bathroom remodel process mid April and well it's now June and we are still not finished. Our Shower is now ready for tile though, we should be getting that installed tomorrow so things should look a little more complete.
My husband framed our mirrors with reclaimed wood and I am loving it! He also did all of the electrical work and installed the pendant lighting I wanted but still need to purchase the right bulbs. These bulbs are just temporary.
Although remodeling is a slow process I am enjoying every step of the way. It kinda makes you appreciate it a little more just to see all of the work being done and how much time it takes to get it to look the way you want it. I can't wait to share the final reveal which I'm hoping is by the end of the month but we will see.
