Making Lunch Fun With PlanetBox

I was not financially compensated for this post. I received the PlanetBox Shuttle lunchbox
for review purposes. The opinions are completely my own based on my experience.
Happy Friday! I hope you all had a wonderful Thanksgiving! I've got a fun post for you all today. If you've never heard of PlanetBox well then you're in for a treat. PlanetBox is basically the coolest lunchbox ever. Just search the hash tag #planetbox on social media and you'll find tons of cool pictures of these lunch-boxes with fun meal ideas for your kiddos.

I pack my son Joshua's lunch for school daily and usually what he has are sandwiches. The poor kid gets tired of 'em. So I've been trying to find ways to be creative with his lunch. We received the PlanetBox Shuttle lunchbox just in time! I packed a healthy and yummy lunch for him...
Turkey, cream cheese, spinach + cucumber rolls with a side of strawberries, grapes and yogurt to dip. This particular lunchbox is their smallest but you can still pack a good amount in it.
This lunchbox comes with these fun magnets...
and a matching bag...
I created some fun lunch note printables for Joshua's lunchbox. He loves it when I add a little note!
As you can see Josh loves his new lunchbox! He couldn't wait to take it to school.
My final thoughts...

-It's heavy duty and looks like it will last a long time
-I love the compartments, especially the dipper.
-Easy clean up
-Fun design

-It's a little heavy
-The bag leaves no room for a drink

Overall we absolutely LOVE this lunchbox and are VERY happy with it! I have found so many ideas just browsing through other people's pics on instagram and on their website. It really inspires me to get creative and pack something yummy and fun. Looks like Josh will have a little more variety now, no more sandwiches!
You are more than welcome to use our printables.
(PERSONAL USE ONLY) Just click on the graphic below, save and print.

Fashion + Fun with Hello Kitty and KuKee

This post is part of a social shopper marketing insight campaign with Pollinate Media Group™ and KuKee, but all my opinions are my own. #pmedia #helllokittyletsplay
It's no secret Sarah loves Hello Kitty and Dressing up. Her third birthday party was Hello Kitty theme. When I told her that we were going to Macy's to shop for the new Hello Kitty Let's Play Dress Up Line her face lit up! She even asked me "is it my birthday?" This little girl loves to shop! I wonder where she gets it from? We arrived at Macy's and found the Hello Kitty section right away...
This little girl was smiling from ear to ear the whole time. It made me smile to see her smile :)
She had so much fun picking out two outfits.
Here are the outfits she ended up choosing...
You know how I can tell Sarah really loved her outfits? She curtsied. Sarah's been curtseying a lot lately! Especially when she's wearing an outfit she really likes. I caught her curtseying in action. By the way I totally had to google how to spell curtsey. It's such a weird word!
These outfits are not only cute they are also fun! This particular dress comes with a little dress for Kitty to dress up too...
Not only can you dress up Kitty on your clothes but you can use the tag on the dress to unlock a fun game on your phone using the Evy of California KuKee app. You can search for the KuKee app in your app store or go to the Evy of California website for detailed instructions. Once you download the app you can scan the tag on your Hello Kitty Clothes...
and it unlocks the Hello Kitty Let's Play Dress Up game...
Then get ready for your kid to hog your phone!
Kids love interactive clothing especially when it gives them an excuse to use your phone.
That's not all! KuKee's got a virtual scavenger hunt going on where you look for all of the Kukee markers such as the one we received in blue. That means you don't even have to purchase Hello Kitty clothing in order to use the KuKee app. You will have to purchase the clothing however to get the full Hello Kitty Dress Up experience.
You can use our color to start off your scavenger hunt...
...and you can find more on their pinterest page.

Sarah is LOVING the KuKee app. If you'd like to find out more about Kukee you can visit the Evy of California website and you can also find them on FACEBOOK, TWITTER and INSTAGRAM. If you think this would make a great gift for your little one (of course it would!) then you might want to check out Macy's Black Friday and Cyber Monday sales. The entire Hello Kitty Let's Play Dress Up Line like will be on sale!

Does your little girl like Hello Kitty?

My First Stitch Fix

I FINALLY signed up for Stitch Fix after reading a bunch of posts from some of my favorite bloggers.

For those of you who have never heard of Stitch Fix it's basically like hiring a stylist. You sign up and fill out a style profile. A stylists picks out some goodies for you. You get your items in the mail, try them on. Keep what you like and return what you don't in a prepaid envelope. Your $20 styling fee applies to anything you decide to keep. If you keep all of your items you get 25% off.

The reason I hadn't signed up was because I'm cheap. I mean I shop at Target, Marshalls and the like. I almost NEVER pay full retail price on anything. I either buy on clearance, sale or use a coupon. So I decided to put my cheapness aside and just do it. So I did it! Here is my HONEST opinion of Stitch Fix. We will begin with each of the pieces they sent me and then I will write my full review towards the end. Please excuse my blurry and low quality pictures. I used my phone for these because it was just easier that way. I also cropped out my face because I make the weirdest faces when I'm concentrating and because my hair was a mess.
Zouk Giselli Chevron Print Sleeveless Dress $58 | RETURNED
I loved the print, the neckline and the style but it just doesn't look flattering on me. It was also a tad bit short for me. I don't like wearing any dresses or skirts above the knee.
41 Hawthorn Bixby Swan Print 3/4 Sleeve Blouse $48 | KEPT
LOVE this! The color and print are just perfect. The only thing I didn't like about this top is the loose sleeves but I still decided to keep it. I am thinking I might wear this for Thanksgiving.
41 Hawthorn Addison Striped Knit Cardigan $48 | RETURNED
This is something I would totally buy. The color, the style and the stripes! I love stripes! It's very me but almost all of my cardigans are drapey in the front and I'm just tired of this look so this went back.
41 Hawthorn Rowson Colorblock Striped Sweater $58 | RETURNED
This I ALMOST kept. I don't usually wear pink but this sweater I really liked. I didn't keep it because I have one very similar to it that cost me $15 at Target. So I returned it.
Zazou Kimmy Sequin Knit Scarf $48 | RETURNED
This scarf I hate. It was itchy and had sequins throughout. I am not a sequin and glitter person. The color was ok but even if I really liked it I couldn't spend $48 on a scarf. NO WAY!

I loved my first box. I loved the experience. I didn't like the prices. Most of these items look like items I would find at Marshalls for half the price. So would I recommend it? YES! Why? Because It's fun! I don't have time to go shopping for myself anymore so this whole experience is awesome for a busy momma like me. I'd much rather try stuff on at home. Sure the prices are a little crazy for me but if I find something I really like I woudn't mind splurging and spoiling myself a little. I might not do it monthly but I will everyonce in a while.

Would you like to sign up? Sign up using THIS LINK please! I will get credit so I can continue splurging and spoiling myself. Help a momma out! :)

Already signed up? I'd love to know what you think! Do you like Stitch Fix?

Baby's First Thanksgiving Art + Free Printable

Yesterday my good friend Julie came over with her beautiful baby Isabella and we did a little art project with our babes. We both had seen these foot + hand print turkeys all over pinterest and wanted to try it with our kiddos. I'm not gonna lie I didn't think they would turn out as cute as the ones on pinterest after Levi's last painting fail but they actually turned out really cute! Here are Levi + Isabella ready to start painting (please excuse the background mess)...
Miss Isabella went first...
and then Mr. Levi (his facial expression is priceless)...
The foot print is first and then the hand prints/feathers are last...
We actually had to do Levi's over because towards the end he decided to smear his hand all over the paper. I created a printable for this project which we printed on cardstock. If you'd like to try this with your baby you can use this printable and either insert his/her name or write it when you print it out....
Just click, save on to your desktop and print.

I finally convinced my friend Julie to start a blog! YAY! Julie is super creative, super sweet and just overall awesome. We are working on her blog design at the moment and we've got plans to try a craft or diy project weekly so we can both blog about it. I can't wait for her to begin blogging. You're all gonna love her and her style. I'll share a link to her blog once it's all finished and ready to go. I'm excited! :)

Painting With Baby - A Crafting Fail

A while back I read this post on painting with your baby and LOVED it so much I tried it out with Levi but it turned into a big fat fail! Here are the possible reasons I think this didn't work for us...

1. I used too much paint
2. I should have use card stock instead of regular paper
3. I have a SUPER strong baby who likes to destroy anything in sight

On the plus side I did get a couple cute pics and he did have fun even though the final product didn't end up the way I thought it would. Here's baby hulk going at it...
and then he realized I was taking pictures...
and he gave me that little smile that just melts me...
So the end product ended up being a messy torn up piece of paper but he had fun! So I wouldn't say this was a complete fail. I am thinking I will try this again but with card stock or with some super strong industrial strength type of paper or something.

Have you had a crafting fail recently?
