This Little Girl

  This little cutie is getting her tonsils removed next week. She's been sick off and on for the past couple of months and it's been the same thing over and over... tonsillitis. She's been to the hospital twice for high fevers and each time we get told the same thing: her tonsils are enlarged and infected and we end up getting a prescription for antibiotics. The antibiotics weaken her immune system and she ends up getting sick again and the cycle continues. 
  So I'm nervous and scared for my little girl. I know this is not a complicated operation and many have gone through it just fine but I know my daughter! She cries when I slightly pull her hair to make her a braid or ponytail. I would really appreciate prayers for her and for her recovery!
  I do have a post scheduled for next week but other than that I will be a little MIA on the blog until Miss Sarah is recovered and things go back to normal. Of course you can always find me on instagram if you miss me ;) Until next time! Have a lovely weekend friends!

Lush Bebe Review + Giveaway

We received these shoes for Levi from Lush Bebe to review. All opinions are my own. 
Baby Shoes are the cutest aren't they? I found Lush Bebe about a month or so ago and drooled over the cuteness of all of the shoes! Mr. Levi received these in the mail earlier this week..

   As I opened the envelope I found the shoes were even more adorable in person! The shoes are so soft! I seriously did not expect them to be as soft, I thought they would be a little stiff because of the material but I was so wrong. They are very well made!
   Levi has chunky feet so it's hard sometimes to get his shoes on especially when he scrunches his little toes but I was able to put these on him faster than any other shoes. It helps that they have laces so I can stretch them out a little as I put his foot in. I seriously LOVE these shoes! They're not only cute, they are great handmade quality and the perfect shoes for my little crawler!

That Moment

PROS and CONS of Blogging

There's no doubt about it blogging has changed my life! Good in some ways and bad in others. I am in no way a blogging expert but I feel these pros + cons are true from what I've learned from blogging these past two years...
PROS
Making New Friends I have met some of the sweetest people through this little blog. I am not the best at keeping in touch but I try to catch up with my bloggy friends when I can. Inspiration/Motivation Blogging keeps me motivated and inspired to want to keep working on my home and doing little crafts here and there. I seriously think that without this blog a lot of the home improvements we have done to our home wouldn't have happened.  Writing Blogging helps keep my writing skills sharp. I always loved to write especially poems and songs but I stopped for a while. Blogging has helped rekindle my love for writing!  Free Stuff I'm not gonna lie one of the best parts about blogging is receiving free stuff or as many of you call it swag! (I don't know why I feel so uncomfortable saying that word!) Of course it shouldn't be the main reason you blog but it is a super awesome perk! I love trying out new products and blogging about them! Fun Blogging is FUN! How? For me it's just a way to be creative, it's my space. It's my hobby. What I like to do in my down time. Kinda like reading a book, watching a movie or going for a walk. Blogging can be fun if you write and share things you are passionate about. 

CONS
Time Consuming Blogging is very time consuming! Writting posts, editing pictures, linky parties, social media and all can be draining! That is one reason why I don't blog weekends. I don't like to feel stressed and if blogging is ever stressful I just take a break.  Comparison I hate this. I hate comparing my little blog to others but it happens! Whether you compare numbers or blog content if you are a blogger you will at some point compare yourself to others.  Privacy Everything you post online is public. I sometimes get the urge to just shut this whole thing down completely especially when I hear people's pictures being stolen. I don't want creeps looking at my kids! That really freaks me out! It's one of the BIGGEST reasons why I debated starting this blog. However I set that "fear" aside and I try my best to not share too many personal things on here. I often pray for this blog and it's content. I know that ultimately it's my responsibility what I share but I like to think if I pray, I can trust God is protecting me and my family  from people who are up to no good. I pray this blog is a blessing not just for me but for those who read it.

I love Etsy! Don't you? I can spend hours just browsing through such beautiful handmade items and sometimes actually buying some of those items as I add them to my favorites. EVERY single person I've come to meet on Etsy is always super helpful and VERY nice, It's such a happy place!  I found Pingvini as I was searching for a crib mobile for Levi's shared nursery. I found the lamb mobile below on my search results and IMMEDIATELY fell in LOVE! I contacted Yuliyana right away and like I mentioned before she was SUPER nice! Her mobiles are one of a kind, handmade and best of all she uses organic materials. You can find mobiles, stuffed animals and more in her shop. Here are my favorites...

I found Kribbe looking for some bibs for Levi. I contacted Silke (the owner) and we traded services ( I designed her logo & etsy banner in exchange for some pretties from her shop! I am so happy I found Silke, I have made a wonderful new friend! Her bibs & burp cloths are lovely! Levi has gotten so many compliments when he's wearing his bibs!

I just recently found this cute shop. Tanisha makes the most adorable shoes I've ever seen!

Last week, I saw this cute video posted by Joy and was inspired to try out one of her fun cupcake decorating tips! I'm sure you all have a few friends who think cupcakes are their very own food group and would happily eat it every meal if they could. What an easy way this would be to bring a smile to their face if they ever need a little extra TLC!

Why I Don't Watch Scary Movies

Today's Prompt: Friday, September 6: A story about a time you were very afraid.
Scary movies: you either love em or hate em. I used to love em. I wouldn't watch them all of the time but I enjoyed watching a scary movie from time to time. I also loved watching those 48hr mystery shows throughout my high school years. I would get nightmares, see people in my room who weren't actually there and hear voices. It was horrible! I couldn't sleep, I always had this sense of fear until one day I realized something....
Scary movies are a tool for the devil to put fear in my heart and mess with my head.
So I stopped. I stopped watching scary movies, I stopped watching shows that would create fear in me and guess what? The nightmares stopped. I slept peacefully! I haven't watched a scary movie since. I DECIDED to eliminate scary movies from my life. I don't need none of that! The word of God says:
"For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind." 2 Timothy 1:7 AMEN!  I NEED a sound mind. I need it to care for my children, I need it to survive each day, I need the spirit of God! What's the point of living in constant fear? Why give the enemy a tool as powerful as that to mess with your head and torture your spirit? NO THANK YOU!
Now I am in no way judging those who like and watch scary movies. I realize everyone is different and some people scare more easily than others. I am one of those which is why I know that watching scary movies in no way helps me with my spiritual walk. The fear I felt after watching a scary movie would overpower me so much that I would forget I had a powerful God.

My Life Be Like...

Today's Prompt: Wednesday, September 4: If you could take three months off from your current life and do anything in the world, what would you do? (bonus points for fun photos from Pinterest, but don't forget to cite the source!)
Take three months off my current life? NO WAY!  I couldn't do that, I wouldn't do that. I LOVE my life as a stay at home mom and feel very blessed. Sure I have had days where I feel I need a break and all I want to do is lay in bed and cry of exhaustion but NEVER would I want to take three months off! I mean sure sometimes I need a break like this week... Sarah got sick.. again. She's got a stomach virus and I'm pretty sure she's gonna need her tonsils taken out very soon and I spent most of the day yesterday cleaning up throw up and disinfecting stuff but well that's part of being a mom and I wouldn't have it any other way. (well except someone to clean up the throw up for me... that would be nice)
So I'm sorry to disappoint but I have no fun photos to share but I do have this super cute picture of little Levi that I took a couple weeks ago...

I'm Not Filipino

I am joining Jenni from Story of My Life in this Blogtember challenge where we blog everyday in September except weekends which is perfect for me because I only blog weekdays. Weekends are for my family. So let's begin with today's prompt:

I feel now is as good as ever to answer this question (been wanting to for a while now)...
"Are you Filipino?" I've gotten this question a lot believe it or not. I'm guessing you already know the answer by my title. I'm not.  I decided to google filipino...
