My New Glasses

   Most of you don't know that I'm sort of blind! Ok not technically but seriously if I don't wear contacts or glasses I cannot see your face even if you're standing close to me. I started wearing glasses when I was in 4th grade (I think) and I remember going to buy my very first pair of glasses with my mom and I remember hating every single pair because they were all SO BIG and my mom convinced me to try on a specific pair of glasses because they were the smallest.  So here is a picture of me with my very first pair of glasses....don't laugh!! 

   Seriously people these were the smallest pair of glasses they had! I wore glasses up until my Junior year of high school when I FINALLY got contacts! I still use glasses at nights, when I have allergies or when I just don't feel like wearing contacts. I'm SO GLAD that glasses have become much more stylish! Don't you?

   I was SUPER EXCITED when Firmoo contacted me about trying out and reviewing a pair of their glasses! (Seriously, ask my husband! I think I told him like three times! lol) I NEEDED a new pair of glasses especially when I give birth in a couple months and I will need them for night feedings and such. So I looked through their awesome website and picked these lovely glasses...

I love my new pair of glasses! I don't really like wearing glasses but these I really like. Honestly I thought they wouldn't be very good in quality since most of their frames are super affordable like these that I chose are $29! Yeah I know that's cheap! And you know how cheap stuff is usually cheap in quality. Well NOT THESE BABIES! Seriously these glasses are very well made. They don't look cheap at all and they are very sturdy. I'm sure they will last me a while especially since I don't wear my glasses a lot. I am VERY HAPPY with my new glasses!

My Maternity Photoshoot

    Get ready for the picture overload! My sister is a photographer and she did our announcement & gender reveal photos and this past weekend we did our maternity ones. I LOVE our photos! My sister did an awesome job! I am 24 weeks and already feel HUGE so I thought this was the perfect time to take photos before I start getting REALLY big and my face starts to swell! lol Enjoy the pictures....

Sage Spoonfuls Review/Giveaway

I've always wanted to make baby food for my kiddos but I didn't give it much importance with my first so he got like most babies do: Gerber. We started getting into more organic foods after my daughter was born but I didn't really make her food, I would just give her small bites of what we would eat. Well now that I know how important it is what kiddos eat I REALLY want to try to make baby Levi his own homemade food. I was so excited to find Sage Spoonfuls and more excited that they let me review their recipe book which will come in handy once baby Levi is born. They not only have recipes for babies but they have a couple family recipes in the back of the book and I chose to try out their Lentil Stew recipe for this review...

Here are all of the ingredients ready for the stew...

The recipe was super easy to follow...

...and the outcome was delicious! Seriously I have made lentils before but this recipe was AWESOME!

Way better than anything I've made! It's a perfect family meal and will be perfect once Baby Levi can eat solids because I can just easily blend this for him to eat.

I topped of my bowl of lentils with avocados...

Here are my favorite things about the book:

- It's a hardcover book. It's sturdy and looks like it will last a long time.

- It is very neat and organized and easy to follow.

- I love the way it explains the nutritious value along with tips, and combinations for each of the fruits or veggies.

- I love the overall design! It is colorful, attractive and has plenty of pictures.

- It gives you plenty of information in the beginning of the book on nutrition, allergies and even CPR &  choking.

  

Overall I am VERY HAPPY with the book and I cannot wait to begin using it to make baby food!

Design Boards

I had so much fun creating a design board for Baby Levi's nursery that I started thinking about offering design boards as a service. My friend Pamela asked me to do two design boards for her as well and that's when I decided to go ahead and go with it! So here are three nursery design boards I've created.
