I guess this week is all about firsts! I started out the week by posting my first "What I Wore" post yesterday (by the way thank you all for your sweet comments!) and today I am sharing my very first wreath! I've been wanting to make a wreath for quite some time but never got to buying the supplies I needed until last week so this weekend I got busy and finished it! I can't say it was all my idea. I was finally motivated by seeing this post by Evelyn of Delightful Creations. She made a beautiful burlap wreath which made me finally go buy the supplies to make my own!
While out shopping with a friend last week she told me about magnetic wreath hangers and so I got one instead of those over the door ones. It was about $5

Oh yes and if you follow me on facebook you probably read that I ended up burning my foot while making this wreath (stop laughing at me!). I don't even know how it happened, all I remember is the pain of the hot glue on my foot! Anyway here are more wreath pictures...
I chose colors I am currently using in my home and love right now. I think it's a very simple winter-y wreath! I love it! Of course my hubby got home and said "your wreath blends in with the door" to which I replied "well maybe we need a new door!" ha! :D It's one of the things on my list!

lol girl your funny!!! It came out very pretty! Great job:) Love the colors too.
ReplyDeleteOH EM GEE! LOVE IT!

ReplyDeleteLove the wreath. Did you make the flowers too??? I love making different kinds of wreaths. I also had the same problem with one of my wreaths blending into my black front door, so I painted it...the door. :o)
ReplyDeleteThe flowers on your wreath are TDF!!
ReplyDeleteThanks so much for your sweet comments! :)
ReplyDeleteShana, yes I made the flowers! They are super easy but a little time consuming to make.
That is such a great idea, I should paint my front door while we wait to get a new one! Thanks! :)
