It's Wed-nes-day! Today we have Kelley from The Grant Life sharing some menu planning tips which are super helpful and guess what? she even made a super cute printable for you all!
. . . . .
Hello Cinsarah readers!  {I am so humbled to be here today.. a big, huge thank you to the amazing Cindy for this awesome series!}  My name is Kelley and I'm a newbie blog who shares all sorts of crafty, foody, thrifty goodness over at The Grant Life.  Check it out if you got a sec ;)
I recently became at stay at home mom (yay!) to my two amazing kiddos, Ryley and Avery.  Can I let you in on a secret?  (shhhh..)  Being a stay at home mom is hard work!  Ok thats no secret but it was an adjustment going from working full time (and then some) to staying home.

One of the things I do to try and make my life a little easier is plan a weekly menu.  I know it may not sound like much but when your trying to feed a toddler, an infant and cook breakfast for the hubby.. it helps to know what to grab and get started.  Three simple ways to plan your menu are..

1. Make meals with what you already have.

Sounds easy right?  I start by jotting down what meat I have in the freezer and then toss around recipe ideas until I come up with one that doesnt require me going to the store.  This is my favorite way to create a menu because I do not enjoy going to the grocery store multiple times during the week.

2. Write it down.

I print out a menu planner each week and write down our meals.  (Just a fun fact.. I only plan breakfast and dinner each week.  Lunch is normally the same so I dont write it down.)  Its hard to remember what you thought about making if it isnt somewhere easy to find.  And for my printable debut.. I made a menu planner for y'all!  Its my first one.. but I love it!  I hung it in a photo frame in the kitchen and use it like a dry erase board.  Cool, huh?!

3.  Use previous menu plans.

They dont even have to be your own!  There are tons of meal planning sites out there that have tons of inspiration for breakfast, lunch and dinner meals.  Every Monday I post our menu for myself and for others.  Its a fun way to share my recipe ideas and get some great new ones.  Once you have planned your menu for awhile it should be easy to pull meals from previous weeks.

Well, there you have it folks.  My two cents on making mommyhood easier.  I hope you feel inspired to start your own menu planning!  Stop by The Grant Life every Monday to see what we are cooking.. and to share yours with my readers and me!
