DIY Circle Scarf

I love scarfs, I don't buy many cause I'm cheap but I still love em! I have been seeing a bunch of pretty circle scarfs everywhere and as much as I want to buy one in every color I can't. So what did I do, I made one! I can't believe I didn't think of it! It wasn't completely my idea, I basically saw this post and got inspired so much I went to my closet, got out a top I bought at a garage sale that fit too big on me (I thought I would belt it) and made it into a circle scarf! It seriously took like 2 minutes (not even!) to make this...

Here is what I did... I just layed out the top and cut from armpit to armpit..

and I got this long rectangle piece....

That's it People!! I didn't even have to make a seam because this fabric doesn't fray! I'm so happy with my new circle scarf! I would love a couple colorful and striped ones too so I will be on the look out for old big shirts that I can cut up and make into scarfs! Here is a before and after...

BTW can you tell I love stripes? oh and the color black! You can see me wearing a striped tank in my profile photo to the right and this top (pictured above) is one of my favorites which I got from Gap for just $5! whoo hoo for sales! I have about 5 striped tops and a couple striped sweaters! They say horizontal stripes are not very slimming but I don't care, I still like em! :)
