My First Envelope Pillow Cover & Matching Headboard

I finally sewed my very first envelope pillow cover and it was super easy!

I had found this tutorial through pinterest a while back and thought it looked

easy so I tried it and made a pillow cover for a pillow I had originally sewn

for my bed. Here is the back of the pillow..

and it matches our headboard...

You might recognize this headboard from Living with Lindsay.

She is re-decorating her master bedroom and so she was giving away this

headboard on facebook a couple months ago which I immediatley snatched up...

I was super duper excited because we didn't even have a headboard.

Our bed looked like this...

pretty much pillows up against a wall.

I love our new headboard, it goes really well with our

light blue walls! So when I went to pick up the headboard Lindsay

gave me some matching fabric! (she is super sweet!)

and so that is how I made a matching pillow..

Here are a couple more pics because I'm pretty much still

in love with my new chair and I love my new pillow...

(yeah...please don't mind that little piece of trash on the floor!

I was so excited to take pictures that I didn't even see it until now..)

I LOVE my goodwill chair, my very first pillow

and now my first envelope pillow cover!

I have a couple more things to do to this room

before I show you guys the full reveal!

I found a mirror for our dresser at a garage sale a couple

weeks ago that I still need to paint and just a couple

touches here and there and it will be ready! :)
