A Pop of Color

Remember this post where I showed you all my lovely new sign created by my friend Pamela from PB&J Creations? Well I still LOVE the sign VERY much but the plain beige wall just didn't do it justice and it made my little sign look lonely and sad. So for a while now I've been wanting a big letter M (for our last name) but didn't really want to pay more than a dollar! (yes I'm cheap!) . So when I went to Hobby Lobby a couple weeks ago I found this for just $1.99 plus I had a 50% off coupon...

I initially thought about painting it white but we really need more color in our home and so I went through my craft supplies and found a bright blue and went for it...

This is something I wouldn't normally do, I'm a plain and simple kind of gal and a total color-phobe but I've been trying to get more into color little by little from my wardrobe to my home decor. I thought blue would look well with green so I also printed out this print from my etsy shop and put a small gallery wall together! Here is a before and after of my dinning room wall...

What a difference a little color makes huh? Here is a close up...
