Joshua's Bedroom Details

Ok let's get down to the nitty gritty details of Joshua's room.

ONE // The cardboard camp letters are from Hobby Lobby. They are regularly $9.99 each but I used a 40% off coupon on each.  I wasn't sure about what color to paint them but I decided to do what I did for Levi and Sarah's room and they turned out great. Not perfect, but great.

TWO // The bunk bed, oh the bunk bed! My husband is so awesome, he did such a great job! This thing is sturdy and will last a VERY long time. Joshua is loving his bunk bed, this is something he's been wanting for some time now and his daddy built it for him. We used Anna White's side street bunk bed plans here but decided to make an attached ladder instead to save space. We used the same stain as our planked wall and farmhouse table which is Special Walnut.

THREE // The sheets are from Target. I bought them on clearance so I got an awesome deal on them. The mattresses are from Costco here

FOUR // The rug is from H&M Home online. It was on sale for $9.99!

FIVE // This artwork is from Hobby Lobby. I walked around Hobby Lobby looking for something outdoorsy and found this. It's perfect for the little reading nook.

SIX // The bookshelf is a garage sale purchase from a long time ago. The lamp is from Target from two years ago and the wooden airplane was a thrift store find.

SEVEN // The floor pillow is from World Market. The fox and pillows are from Ikea.

EIGHT // This is actually an old window screen that our neighbor gave us when she moved away. I had a map poster and covered it with the window and voila!

NINE // The globe is a goodwill find. I remember always wanting one of these when I was kid.

TEN // The desk is from Target. I want my husband to build a wood top for it so it might get a little makeover soon. The chair is from Ikea. We got our old computer out from the closet and put it in Joshua's room since he's a big boy now.

ELEVEN // I shared how Josh made a couple of these pictures for his room so I decided frame this one for him. He loves his room!

TWELVE // The paint color is Pencil Sketch by Behr. We wanted a darker shade of gray but not too dark and this is perfect. It's got a hint of blue which I love.

THIRTEEN // I made this pennant banner using my friend Emily's tutorial here. I didn't have a wooden dowel so I got an old tree branch and glued it on there.

FOURTEEN // Love this bear head! I got it online at H&M here

FIVETEEN // This frame is a Ross find. I made the printables and you can find them on my blog for free here.

SIXTEEN // The plant is from Ikea and the wooden coasters were a gift from Joshua's cousin.

SEVENTEEN // Another thrifting find. I had this in the living room but it's perfect in Joshua's room now.

EIGHTEEN // This is the popular Ikea RAST chest that you see people making over all over pinterest. I found it in the AS IS section! I want to stain this or do something to it so this will also be getting a makeover soon.

  1. I love it! And I love how you don't break the bank in re-doing the room. It looks amazing!

I would LOVE to hear from you! :)
