I'm Doing Ok - An Interview with my Kids

Mother's day is just around the corner. As a mom of three I have had my fair share of "Am I a good mom?" or "Am I doing ok?" questions here and there. As I'm sure all moms have.

I teared up after watching JOHNSON’S® Baby “You’re Doing OK, Mom” video. It's so nice to hear your kids tell you and show you that they love you isn't it? It's nice to be reassured that you are doing ok. Sure you've made mistakes, who hasn't? But you are doing your best and your kiddos appreciate it, whether they tell you or not.

I decided to interview my kiddos... well except for Levi because well he doesn't really talk much yet but I asked Josh and Sarah three simple questions and it was so nice to hear their responses. Short and sweet.

What is mom great at? 
Making food for us and taking care of us.

What is your favorite thing about mom?
That she takes care of us.

What is your favorite thing to do with mom?
Play games and making us laugh.

Mom's Note
Joshua has a sweet and sensitive side. He will randomly pick flowers and give them to me. He also writes me little notes and draws me pictures. This little guy will make a great husband someday ;)

What is mom great at?
At working and cooking.

What is your favorite thing about mom?

When you play with me and that you are my best friend.

What is your favorite thing to do with mom?

Craft and sing.

Mom's Note
Sarah is my sweetheart. She calls me "best friend" every single day. She will randomly come hug me and tell me she loves me. She also loves drawing pictures and picking flowers for me which I'm sure she learned from her big brother. 

Mom's Note Levi doesn't really talk yet except for a few couple of words (mommy, dada, ten [here in spanish], more, all done and thank you) but he let's me know I'm doing ok with his super tight hugs and sloppy kisses. I'll take those any day!
I love my kids! I may not be the perfect mom, I stress out easily sometimes and end up yelling at them and then regretting it but I am so grateful for each of them. They make me want to be a better mom. They make me want to be a better person in general. Having kids is really life changing. It's a blessing. It's the greatest joy and also the greatest responsibility. One I don't want to take for granted.
