Rocking Chair Makeover

We purchased this rocking chair from Wal-mart when my son was born in 2006. It no longer fits in his room as he is now sharing his room with his little sister. We moved the chair to the living room and it just blended in with the tan couches, beige walls and brown window panels.
plain, boring, blah!
So I thought I would give it a little makeover to make the chair stand out! Here you can see the rocking chair before, very plain and dirty and the after: (please ignore the unpainted baseboards, we haven't gotten to those yet.)

I painted the chair white, tore open the cushions to wash the covers and then re-sewed them. I took the side cushions off to make it less rocking chair-ish and bought the pillow and pillow cover from IKEA this weekend. I plan on buying a couple more pillows in the same pattern for my couches to add some much needed color to the living room.

  5. Love that Cindy! :) Thanks again for auditioning for OMTWI! A couple of things:

    1) The OMTWI button needs to be in your post or sidebar.
    2) You can only link up one post for your audition. If you want to pick the post you want to keep and let me know I will get the others removed.

    Thanks!
